It is with great honor and enthusiasm to serve as the new President of this amazing association that has been in existence since 1981. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our past president, Mark Meath and the 2023 Board of Directors for their dedicated leadership and tireless efforts this past year. Their contributions in 2023 have laid a strong foundation, and I am committed to building upon it to further advance our association.
PSMLA had a wonderful 2023 considering the challenges the industry faced with significant rate volatility, housing shortages, and an overall economic downturn. As an association, we stayed united and focused on bringing value added content to our members by offering insightful guest speakers, providing continuing education, and fostering social activities for our members and guests to be able to network and benefit from personal acquaintances, we hosted 2 fantastic Charity events (June Golf Scramble and our December Holiday Auction) donations raised that will contribute to the great work that both the Multi-Cultural Child and Family Hope Center and The Coffee Oasis are so dedicated to! In 2023 we also showcased our Rock Star Members (a night to recognize select members for their accomplishments by their peers) and Dueling Pianos during our Past Presidents Night- talk about having a great time!!
As we forge ahead into the new year, I am extremely excited to be surrounded by a strong Board of Directors that are dedicated to upholding the values of the PSMLA and providing its members with valuable knowledge so that each one of us can be better stewards of our profession and more importantly in our communities.
I also look forward to collaborating with each member and hopefully new members. Your expertise and commitment are crucial to PSMLA’s continued success. So, let us all commit ourselves to the relentless pursuit of knowledge, the art of meaningful connections, and the nurturing of communities.
Thank you!
Augie Bae
2024 PSMLA President
